Sathu Maavu Crackers

Slurrp Farm's Sathu Maavu Porridge Mix1 1/2 cup

Oil2 tbsp

Black Pepper Powder1-2 tbsp

Cumin Powder1 tbsp

Baking Powdera pinch

Beetroot Juice1 beetroot

Spinach Leaves Juice5-7 spinach leaves

Salt(to taste)


Step 1

Wash and grid the spinach leaves with ¼ cup water and strain to get the juice. Wash, grate, and blend the beetroot; strain to get the juice.

Step 2

In a bowl, add the sathu maavu, pepper powder, cumin powder, baking powder, oil, and salt. Combine to make a crumbly mix. Divide this into 2 bowls.

Step 3

In one bowl, add the spinach juice slowly and knead the mixture into a dough. In the other bowl, add the beetroot juice to make the pink dough.

Step 4

Roll both the doughs on flat surfaces and using a cap or a cookie cutter, make the crackers. Using a fork, punch holes into the crackers.

Step 5

Line a baking tray. Arrange the crackers and bake in an oven for 8-10mins at 170’C
