Sathu Maavu Porridge with Veggies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (cauliflower florets, diced carrots, green peas)
  • Water (for boiling)
  • 3 tbsp sathu maavu powder

Method:

  1. Prepare Vegetables:

Rinse the mixed vegetables thoroughly. Boil until tender. Strain and let cool.

  1. Make Vegetable Puree:

Blend the boiled vegetables into a smooth puree using a blender.

  1. Cook Sathu Maavu Porridge:
  • In a saucepan, bring water to a boil.
  • Lower the heat and add sathu maavu powder to the boiling water.
  • Whisk continuously for about 5 minutes to remove any lumps and achieve a porridge consistency.
  1. Combine with Vegetable Puree:
  • Stir the vegetable puree into the sathu maavu porridge. Mix well.
  1. Adjust Consistency:
  • Adjust the consistency by adding more or less water, as needed.
  1. Cool and Serve:
  • Allow the porridge to cool to room temperature before serving.
