Sathu Maavu Biscuits

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup sathu maavu powder
  • 2 tbsp date powder (optional)
  • Raisins (for garnish)

Method:

  1. Prepare Dough
  • In a mixing bowl, combine butter and date powder. Mix well.
  • Add sathu maavu powder to the mixture. Mix and knead until it forms a smooth dough.
  1. Roll Out Dough:
  • Place the dough between two sheets of butter paper. Roll out the dough into a thick sheet.
  1. Cut Cookies:
  • Use a cookie cutter to cut out shapes from the rolled dough.
  1. Prepare for Baking:
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). 
  • Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  • Place the cookie shapes on the lined tray.
  1. Add Raisins:
  • Place a raisin on top of each cookie.
  1. Bake:
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown.
  1. Serve:
  • Allow the biscuits to cool before serving.
