Ingredients
- 4 tbsp sathu maavu mix
- 1 cup water
- 1 tomato (plus additional water for boiling)
- A pinch of cumin powder (or mustard powder)
- 1/2 tsp ghee
Instructions
- Prepare Tomato Puree:
- Boil water in a pot and cook the tomato until the peel starts to tear.
- Let the tomato cool, then remove the peel. Blend the peeled tomato to make a smooth puree.
- Make Porridge:
- In a saucepan, combine 1 cup water with the sathu maavu mix. Stir with a fork to remove any lumps.
- Cook the mixture over medium heat for about 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the tomato puree, cumin or mustard powder, and ghee. Mix well.
- Serve
- Serve the porridge warm. For a thinner consistency, you can add more water to make it like a healthy soup. Enjoy!
