Instructions

    Step 1:

In a bowl, mix sooji, ragi flour and flaxseed powder.

Add the yoghurt, 1 tbsp ghee, and ½ cup of water. Mix well and let it sit.

    Step 2:

In a frying pan, heat some vegetable oil and add the chana dal, urad dal, and curry leaves.

When the dal has browned a bit, add ginger and garlic. Add chopped onions. Sauté till they are transparent

    Step 3:

Add grated coconut and sauté for a minute. Add salt.

Check your batter in the bowl. If it’s too thick, add a little water

    Step 4:

Pour a spoon full of batter in the cavities of the pan when the pan is hot. Lower the heat and cover the pan.

Take the paniarams out when the other side is cooked well

    Step 5:

In about 10minutes, carefully turn the paniarams when they turn brown at the bottom. Cover and cook for few minutes till the other side turns brown.

The paniarams are ready to eat! Enjoy them with some fresh coconut chutney.
